The motor is a three-phase AC squirrel-cage self-fan air-cooled asynchronous motor. The reduction box has three output shafts (see the transmission series diagram), one drives the drill pipe to rotate, and the other two are symmetrical worm shafts. Through the single-head left-hand worm gear system and the double-sided friction clutch, the main engine moves forward slowly on the runway. Through the double-head right-hand worm gear system and double-sided friction clutch, the main engine can quickly retreat on the runway.
